Fall 2024 Timeline

Please complete a mentor application by the deadline below to help welcome our new students in Fall 2024. We typically recruit mentors each spring for the upcoming Fall semester.ÌýÌýÌý

  • Deadline:Ìý Ìý ÌýÌýApplications are open. Please apply by July 30thÌý(°Õ³Ü±ð²õ.)
  • Decisions:Ìý Ìý JulyÌý31stÌý(Wed)
  • Training:Ìý Ìý Ìý ÌýAug. 05 (Mon.), 4:00–5:00 p.m. MT, Remote

We look for current MS-DS students who are:

  • Excited to welcome new MS-DS studentsÌý
  • Happy to answer questions from new students before and after they arrive on campus
  • Committed to helping incoming students have a great experience
  • Enthusiastic representatives of the programÌý
  • Reliable and independent
  • Involved on campus and able to share campus opportunities and activities
  • In good academic standing Ìý

Mentor responsibilities include:

  • Allow assigned mentees to contact you via email (or phone if preferred)
  • Attend a mandatory Mentor Training sessionÌýÌý
  • Maintain clear communication with your mentee group and Data Science staff
  • Host at least 3 activities with your mentee group, including one pre-arrival Zoom sessionÌý
  • Submit documentation showing you have met program requirementsÌý
