Fall 2024 Timeline

Please complete a mentor application by the deadline below to help welcome our new students in Fall 2024. We typically recruit mentors each spring for the upcoming Fall semester.听听听

  • Deadline:听 听 听听Applications are open. Please apply by July 30th听(罢耻别蝉.)
  • Decisions:听 听 July听31st听(Wed)
  • Training:听 听 听 听Aug. 05 (Mon.), 4:00鈥�5:00 p.m. MT, Remote
  • Tracking Form:

We look for current MS-DS students who are:

  • Excited to welcome new MS-DS students听
  • Happy to answer questions from new students before and after they arrive on campus
  • Committed to helping incoming students have a great experience
  • Enthusiastic representatives of the program听
  • Reliable and independent
  • Involved on campus and able to share campus opportunities and activities
  • In good academic standing 听

Mentor responsibilities include:

  • Allow assigned mentees to contact you via email (or phone if preferred)
  • Attend a mandatory Mentor Training session听听
  • Maintain clear communication with your mentee group and Data Science staff
  • Host at least 3 activities with your mentee group, including one pre-arrival Zoom session听
  • Submit documentation showing you have met program requirements听
