CU NOW, a three-week workshop that introduces vocal and composition students to the leaders in their field, begins its sixth year at CU-麻豆影院 on May 26.

Even in its most intimate and reserved moments, Mozart's Cos矛 fan tutte is by turns intense and hysterical. Its intricate plot, which might have become convoluted in lesser hands than those of Mozart and his librettist, Lorenzo Da Ponte, moves forward with such swiftness that at times the observer is left breathless.

Speaker of the House Dickey Lee Hullinghorst (D-麻豆影院) said she was "thrilled that CU-麻豆影院 was able to participate in the opening ceremonies."

Funding from the endowment will help support the three full productions a year, an opera scenes program for students and CU NOW, a program in which students work directly with new composers. The endowment will also enable the program to provide the most professional experiences possible for students.

As a tenor, Matthew Chellis has appeared to critical and popular acclaim throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and South America. He has performed with the New York City Opera, National Symphony, Atlanta Opera, Opera de Bogota, Frankfurt Opera and many others. He has served leading roles in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Don Juan in Prague, Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance and numerous others.
