This position works with the Engineering team, performing testing and forming prototype parts, using in house equipment.Ìý Interns may perform research on materials, technologies, manufacturing processes, and testing protocols. He or she should be organized, able to work independently and be flexible enough to manage multiple requests at the same time.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Testing:
- Run tests established by Engineers
- Collect, organize, and report data from testing
- Complete tests accurately and quickly
- Assist in documenting and refining testing protocols
- Record information on customer and test sample parts

- Build sample parts using thermoformer or 3D printer
- Trim parts using laser, hydraulic press, or manual cutter
CAD & Documentation:
- Perform modeling in SolidWorks
- Translate models into drawings
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Works within the parameters of the SKYDEX Technology Inc. quality system and be responsible for the quality of work performed as part of the duties of this post.
- Follows such record keeping and ordering procedures that are laid down in relation to the operational procedures of the department and/or the company. This includes keeping appropriate records of work done, including test reports, maintenance records and worksheets using various systems.
- Carries out all work in a manner that takes into account the safety of themselves and others in accordance with the company’s safety policy documents.
- Takes the necessary steps to preserve commercial confidentiality and any other aspects of confidential information.
Qualifications
- Obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering preferred
- SolidWorks experience preferred
