McNeill Events

Throughout the year, McNeill students have access to several different student events. These range from Power Hour panels or speaker sessions to student led and driven workshops. Additionally, we work with the greater SASC community to provide other great events. 

Power Hour Requirement

McNeill Students must attend two Power Hours or the equivalent events each semester.

Past examples of equivalent events included:

  • Be SASC workshops 
  • Emerging Health Professionals (EHP) meetings and workshops
  • Creative Arts and Social Sciences Meetings
  • Pre-Law Meetings
  • Lunar New Year
  • Black History Month

​Additional Options to Meet Power Hour Requirements

Attend a campus event for academic or professional development - McNeill students can attend other events on campus that pique their interests as long as it is providing an academic learning opportunity or professional developmental opportunity for a student. Must first discuss with McNeill Coordinator to receive credit.

Meet with a Career Advisor - McNeill students can meet with a Career Advisor to discuss their resume, cover letters, and/or prepare for the job market and receive a Power Hour credit.  Must first discuss with McNeill Coordinator to receive credit.
