Erik is an evolutionary biologist who is fascinated with biodiversity and the evolutionary processes that generate diversity in wild populations. He is currently a postdoc in evolution and bioinformatics at Uppsala University. Research by Erik and collaborators leverages current technologies in genomic sequencing and field ecology to study the mechanisms that maintain population and trait diversity through natural, social, and sexual selection processes. Erik works with Scott and Geory studying Motacilla wagtail evolution using genomic data.
