Marin Stanek becameÌýCIO at CU Â鶹ӰԺ on January 1, 2021. Under her leadership, information technology supports the rapidly evolving IT needs of the campus, which includes over 35,000 students and roughly 10,000 faculty and staff who support those students as well as the largerÌýacademic and research mission of the campus.

Stanek has been instrumental in leading decisions for building out and supporting the campus’s IT environment which includes academic technology, research computing, IT operations and infrastructure, IT Security, and enterprise architecture.

A native of Colorado, Stanek earned a bachelor’s degree in international political economics at Colorado College and master’s and doctoral degrees in educational leadership and policy analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Her priorities include providing a fluid and adaptable academic and student experience, enabling research competitiveness through high-performance computing and cloud computing, and delivering core IT infrastructure and foundational IT services for campus effectiveness. She partners with other leadersÌýacross campus andÌýworks closely with the CU campuses and the CU System administration in support of ensuring that technology is a differentiator for advancing the university’s mission.

Stanek is active within the Educause community, participates in Internet2, and sits on various higher education boards.Ìý
