CU 麻豆影院聽encourages applications from current University of Colorado employees for our聽Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Budget and Finance.聽This position provides high level strategic financial, administrative, and operational resource support to the Division of Academic Affairs under the direction of the provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs.聽The role has oversight of聽budget and finance functions for the Office of the Provost organization, and also makes recommendations on financial and budget decisions for other Academic Affairs support units.

The Assistant Vice Chancellor provides guidance to the provost on policy, procedural, and operational issues. This role serves as senior budget and finance liaison to the Division of Academic Affairs, central campus administration, and campus finance units. Under the direction of the provost, this role advances strategic projects in the areas of policy development, financial and budget administration, and campus-wide programs that impact the division, and represents the Provost鈥檚 Office to other officers of the administration and university, campus/system officials, and external constituents on an ad hoc basis. Critical to this role is the ability to build and maintain聽strong positive cross-campus relationships and partnerships to develop strategic collaboration.

What We Require

  • Master鈥檚 Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, including the management of complex budgets.
  • Experience with policy analysis.
  • Supervisory experience.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple, complex assignments.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to identify and address problems and issues.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Knowledge of university reporting tools (PeopleSoft, mFIN, HCM or similar).
  • Familiarity with state of Colorado policies and procedures and regulations that affect university operations.
  • Work experience in a higher education academic setting, such as academic affairs, faculty affairs, or college/school dean鈥檚 office administration.
