In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to work with the Knowdellâ„¢ Motivated Skills Card Sort to identify skills that inspire you in your professional life. These skills are central to both personal and career satisfaction, as well as to your success. The assessment will also assist you in considering your proficiency levels in fifty-one transferable skill areas.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify skills that you most enjoy using and in which you are highly proficient.  
  • Describe portable skills that can bridge a transition to a new position or refine your current position.
  • Analyze and determine skills to delete from your résumé, including burn-out skills, to maximize job fit and satisfaction.
  • Discover "developmental skills," which include areas to learn new skills, which can help you create a plan for future professional growth.

Who Should Attend: CU Â鶹ӰԺ Staff 

The Staff Career Development Program (SCDP) in the Department of Human Resources exists for all staff employed on the Â鶹ӰԺ campus, and provides both individual advising and group career development on topics ranging from career exploration to job search strategies.
