Fellowship Application: Certificate in Engineering, Ethics & Society
Due: December 1st, 2023.
Herbst Fellows are scholars drawn from students enrolled in the Engineering, Ethics & Society Certificate Program and embody the program鈥檚 commitment to ethical practice and engaged scholarship.
Herbst Fellows receive a $500 scholarship. During their fellowship year, Herbst Fellows join a cohort of peer-scholars who interrogate the ethical issues most important to them. They attend symposia and events as well as produce a profile of their work to be published in the Spring Colorado Engineering Magazine.

Application Process:
- Applicants must be students in good standing in the College of Engineering and Applied Science and must be enrolled in the Engineering, Ethics & Society Certificate Program.
- You can apply for the certificate at the same time as you apply for the fellowship.
- Applicants must provide a personal statement, 500-700 words, in response to the following prompt:
