Drug Delivery
Targeting Delivery of Pharmaceutical Agents
Another major research area in our group is the development of particles with engineered therapeutic properties. Our group is building upon the previous research areas to create multifunctional particles that encapsulate pharmaceutical payloads, interact with biological substrates and tunably respond to external fields, enabling the fine remote control of particle function after injection into the body. Our strategy is to holistically design and tailor the properties of particles to address specific challenges present in various diseases. Our goal is to create particles that perform sophisticated tasks such as autonomously navigate tortuous biological environments, stably bind to biological targets and release encapsulated payloads on demand.
