Thank you for your interest in pursuing graduate studies in power electronics at the University of Colorado at 麻豆影院 with me potentially serving as your advisor.

  • I have an active research program and I am always looking for exceptionally well-qualified Ph.D. candidates with a very strong background in electrical engineering, including circuits and microelectronics.

  • The research page summarizes some of the current research topics. Please note that my research is primarily in power electronics, not in power systems, power engineering, energy systems, energy policies, electric machines, or electric drives.

  • Please note that only Ph.D. candidates are considered for admission with financial aid. Ph.D. candidate applications are generally considered for a start in the Fall semesters. The application deadline for Fall admission is Dec.15 of the preceding year. Admission decisions are based on a careful review of complete applications received. The admission process with financial-aid offers is very competitive. It is not possible to give advance feedback about your chances of admission with financial aid.

  • If you are interested in pursuing a master's degree with an emphasis on power electronics, you are strongly encouraged to consider our Professional Masters in Power Electronics program. The program offers the same rigorous curriculum as our traditional MS program at a somewhat reduced tuition rate. Professional MS program students have enrollment priority in our Power Electronics Design Laboratory. Both Professional MS and traditional MS students who are successful in our graduate-level courses may be eligible for hourly teaching or research appointments. Similarly, both Professional MS and traditional MS students who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree may subsequently be considered as Ph.D. candidates subject to exceptionally strong academic performance in our graduate-level courses.
