In June, CU Engineering recognizes the students, faculty and staff who are a part of LGBTQ+ communities andcelebrate their contributions to the college. The many diverse communities that make up our college make us stronger, more creative, more resilient and able to meet the world’s challenges with positive solutions that benefit all. This month we highlight members in our community, events to volunteer or participate in and provide resources for our engineeringcommunity.Take a momentto learn about and celebrate the history and people of Pride.

On May 5, the ITL Program hosted our Spring 2023 student appreciation event. We host this event each reading day to express our gratitude for our student staff and acknowledge how critical they are in providing a unique hands-on engineering experience for students, faculty, and staff in the College of Engineering and Applied Science. This year we enjoyed the beautiful May weather with sandwiches and yard games!

Thank you to all who were able to come out and join in on the fun activities last week during Engineering Staff Council’s 2023 Professional Community Week! It was such an absolute delight to get to spend some time with our amazing staff community here in Engineering.
[This is] a shoutout to both Maura Hollister and Alex Vorhees! They have both been crucial in helping with planning and implementation of advising and resources for incoming Fall 2023 students. Thanks for your continued support as we welcome these new students to engineering!

Make a co-worker’s day. Think of a co-worker who has been doing a fabulous job lately or someone who has helped you out. Send your shout out to CEASHR@colorado.edu to have it included in our next newsletter!
