The BOLD Center and Smead Aerospace Engineering Sciences will host a special presentation by NASA legend Christine Darden on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Darden will be speaking as a part of Black History Month celebrations, sharing her life experiences as an engineer and giving a look inside her 40-year career at NASA.

Join oSTEM @ CU Â鶹ӰԺ for two upcoming events to celebrate LGBTQ+ advocacy in STEM:

• Feb. 24, 5-6 p.m.: Dr. Evelyn Hooker Advocacy Award Social, open to the entire CU Â鶹ӰԺ community. It will feature a discussion of "What is the Future of LGBTQ+ advocacy in STEM?" with Sindhu Sadineni, Hooker Award founder and past oSTEM president; Robyn Sandekian, CU Engineering director of faculty advancement and oSTEM @ CU Â鶹ӰԺ's staff adviser; and Arpi Grigorian, past oSTEM president and current event coordinator. The discussion will be followed by fun virtual games.
• March 2, 5-6:15 p.m.: 2020-21 Dr. Evelyn Hooker Advocacy Award Ceremony, open to all students, faculty and staff. oSTEM will host a panel discussion and poetry performance, as well as announce the 2020-21 award winner.
