CEAS Faculty Advancement
The Office of Faculty Advancement partners with the college's human resources team and faculty rostered within the CEAS throughout their careers so that they can thrive in their roles as educators, researchers, and people with various responsibilities within and beyond our college and the University of Colorado.
We support faculty in the following ways:
- Facilitates advertising in diverse venues to support broadly the college's work to diversify our applicant pool
- Provides in-person discussion sessions about decreasing implicit bias during search processes, upon request
- Develops and promulgates evidence-based faculty recruiting practices
- Maintains and updates the CEAS Hiring Process Handbook (for tenure-track searches; instructor-rank search version is pending)
- Runs the college's Dual Career and Relocation Assistance Program
- Liaises with campus Human Resources' Diversity & Inclusion Team including the campus EEO/Affirmative Action Officer
- Supports department-run future faculty programs
- Liaises with the Office of Faculty Affairs to ensure the accurate application of campus and university personnel policies
- Provides expert opinions regarding CEAS comprehensive review, promotion, and tenure rules and processes
- Ensures that the FLRC deliberations are conducted in an equitable fashion
- Hosts CEAS New Faculty Orientation
- Identifies and shares information about professional development opportunities
- Facilitates networking opportunities with faculty across campus
- Supports faculty promotion and tenure recognition events
- Ensures accuracy of the annual faculty census
- Maintains faculty applicant pool and recruitment data 
- Meets with individual faculty members who have concerns regarding their equitable treatment
- Supports the development or revision of faculty governance systems within the CEAS
