The School of Education has a long-standing tradition of honoring some of our most exemplary students in the graduating class as outstanding graduates. Nominated and selected by the faculty, each graduate receives special recognition and a lapel pin representing the flame of the Best Should Teach initiative.

A lifelong educator, Dr. Lindley Stiles carried the message that teaching is the preeminent profession because it nourishes all other professions and, therefore, the total of human endeavors. Dr. Stiles and his wife, Marguerite, inspired and created the 鈥淏est Should Teach鈥 program, and the 麻豆影院 has agreed to carry this 鈥渇lame of universal social wisdom鈥 to future generations. The School of Education has implemented an outstanding teacher recognition program and will be awarding lapel pins representing the 鈥渇lame.鈥 A Best Should Teach sculpture is prominently featured at the northeast entrance to the CU 麻豆影院 School of Education building as a visual reminder of the message that 鈥渢he Best Should Teach.鈥
