In the spring of 2019, the School of Education launched a remodeling and fundraising initiative to move the School of Education from its former building to a newly renovated听campus home,听then known as the Fleming Building. The phased renovation project was made possible by donor and campus leadership support. In 2022, the School of Education embarked on a unique opportunity to rename its new campus home. A committee of alumni, students, donors, staff and faculty reviewed community submissions to select the building鈥檚 new name听in honor of Ofelia Miramontes and Leonard Baca, who were exceptional mentors, leaders and educators when they were active faculty members in the School of Education. 听
