Job Summary

Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) invites applications for two, one-year full-time Postdoctoral Psychology Fellowships. These positions are for candidates who have completed all of their doctoral graduate work in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and who need supervised psychotherapy experience to obtain licensure. The positions provide direct clinical services and campus community outreach.

Candidates are encouraged to apply to one or more of four training tracks:

  • Clinical services with a triage and crisis care focus 
  • Clinical services with a focus on supporting Residence Life through counselor-in-residence services
  • Clinical services with a diversity, equity and inclusion focus
  • Clinical services with a behavioral health focus

Applicants are encouraged to apply for the track that best fits their interest and skills. Applicants may apply for more than one track if they desire. Additional details about each track will be included in the job posting.

All postdoctoral fellows will gain experience providing services to the university student community. Primary areas of service include: brief/triage screening services, intake, group psychotherapy, brief individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention and case management. Opportunities for hybrid work schedules are available.

Start Date, Stipend and Benefits

The state date for these positions is Aug. 4, 2025 and will end one year after the start date. Positions are a 40-hour/week, Mon-Fri commitment. Annual salary is $53,500. As CU employees, fellows are eligible for additional benefits including health insurance and retirement benefits, funds to support professional development, an RTD pass for public transit and generous PTO and holidays.
