The dean鈥檚 office at the College of the Holy Cross hired聽K.J. Rawson聽(MEngl鈥05) as assistant professor in the English department. Since 2010 K.J. has been a lecturer at the University of Kentucky for writing, rhetoric and digital media. He is co-editor of聽Rhetorica in Motion: Feminist Rhetorical Methods and Methodologies聽(University of Pittsburgh Press) and has published several articles.

CU couple聽Keziah Swales聽(Fin鈥07) and聽Karl Wonstolen聽(Fin鈥07) married in August in 麻豆影院. They met in 2004 at the Leeds School of Business. Keziah is a consultant at Accenture and Karl is an analyst at Fisher Investments. They live and work in San Francisco.

Harvey Park Improvement Association president聽Julia Bourlakov聽(MFin鈥08) appeared in聽The Denver Post聽in September for her efforts toward building a sense of community in the Harvey Park neighborhood in Denver. Harvey Park is a diverse area with affordable 1950s houses. Julia lives in the neighborhood with her husband and two children.

After serving two years as an office management specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru,聽Jessica Mosnik聽(Ling鈥08) is working at her second post in Beijing, China. In Peru she served on the Interagency Housing Board, Ambassador鈥檚 Technology Working Group and the SharePoint Strategy Team. Jessica is a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of the USA and helped the Girl Scouts of Colorado provide training on a new program model to hundreds of adult volunteers statewide.

Tocci Building Companies announced聽Kirsten Soderlund聽(EnvDes鈥08) joined the firm as a modeler in the virtual design and construction department. Tocci is a Boston-area construction manager and recognized leader in virtual design and construction solutions. Previously Kirsten was a lighting and energy efficiency designer for Cleantech Solutions in 麻豆影院. Since joining Tocci she has gained facility management experience through her work on such projects as the Rodina Federal Building in Newark, N.J.

In January nine CU alumni set sail on a 106 day, 25,000-mile journey around the globe with 27 of the world鈥檚 most innovative technology entrepreneurs. The nautical journey is part of Unreasonable@Sea, founded by聽Daniel Epstein聽(Phil鈥08) of 麻豆影院. Unreasonable@Sea is an experiment in transnational entrepreneurship and in leveraging startups as a tool for international economic development. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program awarded聽Ian Soroka聽(Film, Phil鈥09) a scholarship to Slovenia in film studies. He is one of more than 1,700 U.S. citizens to travel abroad with a student Fulbright for the 2012-13 academic year. Ian鈥檚 research focuses on Slovene/Yugoslav film history and his project is titledCinema and Memory: Cultural Preservation through National Cinema Slovenia.
