DE HUMANI CORPORIS FABRICA with Director Lucien Castaing-Taylor
NEST Studio for the Arts, in partnership with the International Film Series, is bringing anthropologist-artist Lucien Castaing-Taylor to the CU 麻豆影院 campus on September 17th to host a free, public screening of his new film, DE HUMANI CORPORIS FABRICA.
Five centuries ago, anatomist Andr茅 V茅sale opened up the human body to science for the first
time in history. Today, DE HUMANI CORPORIS FABRICA opens the human body to the
cinema. It reveals that human flesh is an extraordinary landscape that exists only through the
gaze and attention of others. As places of care, suffering and hope, hospitals are laboratories
that connect every body in the world.
