Professional Master's Program

The department offers several professional master's tracks designed for working engineers and students seeking to enhance and expand their skillsets. These coursework-based programs lead to a Master of Science degree.

Architectural Engineering — Professional MS

Architectural Engineering - Includes building energy, data science, building decarbonization, lighting & daylighting, indoor environmental quality, structural engineering and construction engineering & management subplans.

Civil Engineering — Professional MS

  • Civil Engineering –&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Dual Track option for students interested in combined graduate training in more than one single area in structures, construction, geotechnical, water resources or Water Engineering & Management for broader career scope and choices.
     
  • Global Resilience & Sustainability Engineering - Offered by the Mortenson Center in Global Engineering & Resilience for those looking to gain a breadth of knowledge in global climate change, hazard-resilient infrastructure, global health, environmental & development economics, impact evaluation and more.
     
  • Water Engineering & Management - Ideal for those employed by consulting engineering, utilities, government or regulatory agencies looking to augment their skills in leadership, communication, finances and governance within the water profession. The WE&M program is available in fully remote, hybrid and on-campus formats.
