Mission

The mission of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering is the education of undergraduate and graduate students to become leaders in the professional practice of engineering, contributing to technological advances that benefit humankind while enhancing the earth’s physical and biological resources.

History

The University of Colorado Â鶹ӰԺ is the flagship university of the University of Colorado system and was founded five months before Colorado was admitted to the union in 1876. The Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering celebrated its centennial in 2004. The architectural engineering program at the University of Colorado was one of the first programs organized in the United States.
