Dr. Sabrina D. Volpone is a tenured associate professor of Organizational Leadership at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business. She earned her master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology at the University of Houston before obtaining her Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. At the Leeds School of Business, she is the doctoral program coordinator for the Organizational Leadership and Information Analytics division.
Dr. Volpone’s research uses both qualitative and quantitative methodology to develop and test theory about diversity and identity management processes within organizations. Specifically, through her work on diversity management, she examines the perspective of employers to understand how organizations manage their diverse workforces. Then, her work on identity management takes the employee’s perspective to determine how diverse individuals can flourish through the management of their identities at work. Whenever possible, her work uses a partnered research approach with participants so that the lived experiences of traditionally under-represented employees are highlighted in her research projects.
