Optical Thermal Regulation System (OTheRS)
The Optical Thermal Regulation System is a variable parameter test bed modeled after a General Atomics satellite avionics bay. The test bed will test and validate the viability of Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) sensors as a replacement for traditional discrete temperature sensors. The test bed will be used to explore the capabilities of the system and seeks to determine the efficacy of LWIR sensors in small satellite thermal regulation.
