Academic Prioritization
In Fall 2013, the CU Board of Regents directed each of the campuses in the CU System to initiate work to develop academic and administrative prioritization constructs that could provide insights into the way in which individual academic and administrative units contribute to the core mission of the university and to the separate missions of the individual campuses, as defined in Colorado statute and in Regent law and policy.
In 2013鈥2014, the Academic Affairs Budget Advisory Committee (AABAC) was charged with developing an academic prioritization construct for CU 麻豆影院. As detailed in the 鈥Methodological Summary,鈥 the construct was subsequently refined to better reflect the standing of CU 麻豆影院 units in relation to cognate units at peer institutions.
The quantitative portion of the Academic Prioritization construct was supplemented by a narrative evaluation for each academic unit. These unit narratives presented the review and evaluation of each unit鈥檚 data and record by the Academic Review and Planning Advisory Committee (ARPAC).
The university paused Academic Prioritization during the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2023, CU 麻豆影院鈥檚 new budget model replaced Academic Prioritization.
