- The National Academy of Inventors (NAI) today announced that CU 麻豆影院 researchers and spinout founders Mark Rentschler, Greg Rieker and Tin Tin Su have been designated as NAI Senior Members in recognition of their impact on society through extraordinary innovation.
- Mechanical Engineering Professor Franck Vernerey, Assistant Mechanical Engineering Professor Carson Bruns and ATLAS Institute received $477,000 from the National Science Foundation to begin this three-year project in January 2021. Their research may one day enable soft machines to fully integrate with our bodies to deliver drugs, target tumors, or repair aging or dysfunctional tissue.
- The University of Colorado jumped from No. 53 to No. 20 in a recent global ranking of the top 100 universities granted U.S. utility patents. All four campuses contributed to CU鈥檚 total 100+ patents, with CU 麻豆影院 contributing 60.
- Wil Srubar, an assistant professor in civil, environmental and architectural engineering and CU 麻豆影院鈥檚 Materials Science and Engineering Program, has won a National Science Foundation CAREER Award 鈥 one of the most prestigious awards for young faculty.
- Randolph, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, founded VitriVax, a CU 麻豆影院 spinout, to commercialize new applications of atomic layer deposition techniques for producing thermally stable vaccines.
