- Since the chancellor issued his charge earlier this summer, ODECE and its many campus partners have been collaborating on multiple fronts. I’d like to share an update on our progress to achieve the eight immediate actions for change.
- The emotional turmoil and inequities laid bare during these past few weeks create an urgency for the Graduate School to address issues of access and inequality on campus and foster new pathways to graduate education for underrepresented students.
- Â鶹ӰԺ County Public Health announced 17 recent positive cases of COVID-19 in our community, many involving CU Â鶹ӰԺ students. These positive cases demonstrate the vital importance of every one of us following public health guidance.
- Black Lives Matter and racist, discriminatory and harassing acts do not align with our core beliefs and values. CU Â鶹ӰԺ is here to support you and help you to process, learn and grow, and take action if you wish.
- Vice Chancellor Bob Boswell, Vice Chancellor Akirah Bradley and Associate Vice Chancellor Valerie Simons address a series of racist, discriminatory and threatening social media messages––some posted by current and incoming students––that have come to light in recent days.
- To our black students, faculty and staff—All Black Lives Matter. There are much deeper and systemic issues that are affecting communities of color, and as a society, we are far from realizing the promise of equality and justice that every person deserves. You have my pledge that justice and equity will remain at the center of my efforts as chancellor...We can and must do better.
- The University Libraries deans are providing updates on how you can get what you need from the libraries in the near term.
- Our Road Map to Fall 2020 calls for classes beginning as scheduled on Aug. 24 and finishing remotely after Thanksgiving break. It prioritizes health and safety considerations required to minimize risk and enable an on-campus academic model that accommodates both in-person and remote learning.
- Please join me in celebrating the great accomplishments of our more than 6,500 graduates. Also, I'd like to provide updates on our fall planning, including information on our no-increase tuition recommendation, phased return to on-campus research and more.
- I want to take this opportunity to personally congratulate all of our professional, master’s and doctoral students receiving degrees. The Graduate School is extremely proud of all you’ve accomplished.
