- The Quantum Scholars Program has received a big boost in the form of a matching gift from SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. This generous contribution will provide scholarships for up to 20 additional Quantum Scholars each year.
- The Â鶹ӰԺ Faculty Assembly is pleased to announced the winners for this year's Excellence Awards. The award categories include excellence in leadership and service; research, scholarly and creative work; and teaching.
- Members of CU Â鶹ӰԺ’s Masters of the Environment graduate program recently congratulated partners at multiple Colorado state offices for receiving the Charles F. Kettering Award. The MENV community was involved in nominations for the award.
- The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics recently welcomed the CU Board of Regents for a visit and tour of its facilities on East Campus. The regents learned about the lab’s 75-year history and upcoming work.
- Preservationists and fire remediators are working to return the Norlin Library collections to service after an early-morning fire at the building.
- CU Â鶹ӰԺ has been named a Fulbright Top Producing Institution for U.S. Scholars in recognition of the 10 scholars who were named Fulbright finalists for the 2023–24 academic year. CU Â鶹ӰԺ ranked third among doctoral institutions, behind only Penn State University and the University of Florida.
- Ten students participated in this year’s Three Minute Thesis on campus for a chance at prize money and a chance to represent CU Â鶹ӰԺ at the regional competition.
- The CU Board of Regents announced its selection of recipients of honorary degrees, distinguished service awards and university medals for 2024, including four CU Â鶹ӰԺ affiliates: Jane Butcher, Marvin Caruthers, Richard Rokos and Ann Smead.
