- Six CU Â鶹ӰԺ students and alumni have been named Fulbright finalists for the 2023–24 academic year by the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Another two students were named alternates.
- Karen Bailey will present her work on the fraught relationship between elephant and human communities in Thailand when she receives her award at the Ecological Society of America annual meeting.
- This year, the Office of Faculty Affairs awarded six faculty members the first-ever Outstanding Faculty Mentoring Award, which recognizes excellence in mentorship of faculty by faculty.
- CU Â鶹ӰԺ has presented Hanspeter Schaub with the 2023 Hazel Barnes Prize, the university’s largest and most prestigious single faculty award. The honor recognizes outstanding teachers who also have distinguished records in research and scholarship.
- A CU Â鶹ӰԺ faculty member has been recognized with a national excellence in teaching award from a leading group for professional, continuing and online education.
- CU Â鶹ӰԺ has been recognized as a top volunteer-producing university by the Peace Corps, coming in at No. 5 nationally among the top 25 schools producing volunteers since 2003.
- The City of Â鶹ӰԺ Landmarks Board recognized CU Â鶹ӰԺ’s 1135 Broadway building, which now houses the Renée Crown Wellness Institute, with a project award.
- Cell biologist Gia Voeltz and theoretical physicist Ana Maria Rey are among the more than 140 scientists elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2023.
- The University of Colorado Law School is proud to announce Margot Kaminski, associate professor of law and director of the Privacy Initiative at the Silicon Flatirons Center, has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar for 2023–24.
- Lipari-DiLeonardo, a graduate student in applied mathematics and atmospheric science, has been named a Rudd Mayer Fellow by the Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy organization.
