Once senior Hannah Metzger joined CU Â鶹ӰԺ’s CU Independent during her first year, she knew she needed to switch her major to journalism. It turned out to be a good decision. Metzger is the Department of Journalism’s William A. White Outstanding Senior.

Founding a fraternity chapter, starting up a university interfraternity council (IFC) and graduating with a bachelor's degree in computer science were never part of Keaton Hoeger’s plan when first starting college. However, these were all among the things Keaton accomplished in his four years at CU Â鶹ӰԺ.

Daniel Wilson's interest in the technical and creative aspects of filmmaking started early in life. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in cinema studies with an emphasis on film production, he hopes to take those interests into the world of cinematography while not forgetting his Colorado roots.

Students, staff and faculty engaged in catalyzing change across the Physics Department received one of three CU system President’s Diversity Awards.

In this talk, Phil Weiser will discuss the nature of challenges presented during the COVID-19 crisis and the lasting changes that will come of it. Weiser is the Colorado attorney general and a former dean of Colorado Law.

In just the last few weeks, Daniel Knowles co-founded GyftCO. The company connects local businesses with the larger community as an outlet for selling e-gift cards. Customers can pre-purchase and redeem the gift cards as stores reopen.

Please join me in celebrating the great accomplishments of our more than 6,500 graduates. Also, I'd like to provide updates on our fall planning, including information on our no-increase tuition recommendation, phased return to on-campus research and more.

Celebrating National Poetry Month and taking an opportunity for collective expression during this challenging time, members of the campus community anonymously contributed verses to the CU Â鶹ӰԺ poem "Exquisite Hope."
