The other business ideas include personalized discount cards for college students, an advanced tripod for semiprofessional photographers and an inventory tracking system using radio frequencies.

The American Chemical Society has named University of Colorado at Â鶹ӰԺ Professor Emeritus Charles DePuy winner of the James Flack Norris Award in Physical Organic Chemistry in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field. DePuy received the prestigious award during the American Chemical Society National Meeting, held April 7 to April 11 in Orlando, Fla.

CU-Â鶹ӰԺ School of Law Professor Barbara Bintliff will receive the Clifford Calhoun Public Service Award on April 26 in recognition of her contributions to the law school and the legal community. The award was established by an anonymous donor in 1998 in honor of CU-Â鶹ӰԺ emeritus law Professor Clifford Calhoun, who retired in May of that year. The award is given to those who exemplify the spirit and tradition of Calhoun's altruistic career.
