Twenty CU 麻豆影院 students in seven teams will take their next leap into entrepreneurship on Thursday as they pitch their companies to potential investors at the annual Catalyze CU 麻豆影院 Demo Day. The startups, four of which are led by women, tackle problems ranging from water quality impacts from pharmaceutical waste to streamlining scholarship opportunities on a universal platform.

Tickets to hear the Dalai Lama speak this summer at the Coors Events Center will be available for purchase at 9 a.m. Thursday at www.cubuffs.com . Faculty/staff with a valid Buff OneCard can purchase up to two tickets for $25 apiece.

Months of 'Shakespeare at CU' events kick off with April 23 birthday bash

The 麻豆影院 will honor the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare鈥檚 death with Shakespeare at CU, a program consisting of more than 40 events and exhibitions scheduled through August. Shakespeare鈥檚 birthday 鈥 and the day he died 鈥 are both celebrated April 23. While historians are not exactly certain of Shakespeare鈥檚 precise birth date, they do know he was baptized on April 26, 1564 and was likely born three days before that.

'It's On Us Week of Action' brings Vice President Biden to CU-麻豆影院

Vice President Joe Biden will visit CU-麻豆影院 next week to deliver a speech on the importance of preventing sexual assault on college campuses across the country. The Office of the Vice President chose to visit CU-麻豆影院 due to our strong efforts to support the 鈥淚t鈥檚 On Us鈥 campaign denouncing sexual violence and encouraging bystanders to be more effective in prevention efforts.

Dalai Lama reschedules visit to CU-麻豆影院 for June 23

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will visit the 麻豆影院 June 23 after health issues derailed a previous visit scheduled last October, CU-麻豆影院 student and local Tibetan leaders announced today. Tickets are not yet available for sale. Details will be announced in coming months on this University of Colorado event website.

Renowned culinary and cultural historian Michael Twitty to visit CU Feb. 25

Renowned culinary and cultural historian Michael Twitty will speak at CU-麻豆影院 on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in the UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom. During the event, which is presented by the Cultural Events Board and is free and open to the public, Twitty will discuss the ties between food, culture and freedom. Tickets will be available at the door.

CU-麻豆影院 student groups bring Steve Wozniak to campus

Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Wozniak will engage in a lively talk organized and moderated by students at 7 p.m. Monday, April 4, in Macky Auditorium, the Cultural Events Board and Conference on World Affairs Student Group announced today. Wozniak鈥檚 talk doubles as the keynote presentation for the 68 th Conference on World Affairs to be held April 4 to 8.

Join your fellow students, staff, faculty and administration for the spring Diversity Summit Thursday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Kittredge Central and the Champions Center. The summit will focus on 鈥淕oing Beyond II: Deepening the Dialogue鈥 and will emphasize intergroup dialogues, caucuses hosted by the Chancellor鈥檚 Advisory Committees on issues relevant to campus, contemporary teach-ins, and inclusive excellence facilitations. The goal of the Spring Summit is to begin to have dialogues for achieving continuous social change.
