Kick off the week before fall break with some fun events: a CU Farm & Garden Club party, a celebration in honor of America Recycles Day, laser shows at the planetarium, DIY craft night, CU volleyball and more.

Monday, Nov. 13

Do you have any extra food and personal care items you would like to donate? The Buff Pantry is accepting donations of shelf stable items that have at least a three-month window to expiration. Can’t make it on Monday? More donation dates are available throughout the week.

Renting can be tricky, so it’s important to understand the basics of it. The Basic Needs Center and Off-Campus Housing and Neighborhood Relations are here to help. In this session, you will learn more about securing off-campus housing, reading leases and more.

The  CU Farm & Garden Club is celebrating the growing season as it comes to an end. Enjoy food, drinks, games, trivia and prizes. This is the club’s final event of the year.

  • : The Basic Needs Center is collecting food and personal care item donations from Nov. 13–17 during regular hours to distribute to Buff Pantry clients. The Buff Pantry accepts shelf stable items that have at least a three-month window to expiration.
  • : The last day for undergraduate students to submit, update or cancel their fall 2023 application form is Thursday, Dec. 14, at 11:59 p.m. MST.

It is America Recycles Day! The CU Environmental Center is holding an event to celebrate. Attendees will sharpen their recycling knowledge and have the opportunity to build a reusable kit.

CU Professor Sigman Myoshin Byrd is hosting Zen Meditation sessions on Thursdays throughout the semester. Participants will sit for 20 minutes and then have a conversation about the Zen practice.

Earth at Sun’s Mercy: Living under a Star

  7 p.m.   Fiske Planetarium
This talk will explore how humanity has adapted to living under the sun. Solar physicist Ryan French will discuss the incredibly dynamic star that causes both danger and life.

Feel Good Fridays are a blast! Stop by the CU Art Museum to learn about a work of art and participate in a mindfulness practice. No meditation experience is necessary. Can’t make it in person? The event is also held virtually.

You’re surviving, but are you thriving? Learn skills for managing and responding to distress with this virtual workshop held by Counseling and Psychiatric Services.
