From police chiefs Doreen Jokerst, Maris Herold: Welcome, Buffs!
Welcome, Buffs! On behalf of members of the CU 麻豆影院 and the city of 麻豆影院 police departments, we join together to celebrate the start of a new academic year.
Our departments are committed to working together to keep everyone in the 麻豆影院 community safe. As such, we collaborate on emergency notifications for life-threatening incidents that occur off campus in areas of high student population.
The is the best source of information for on-campus emergencies, campus closures or delayed starts, extreme weather and other time-sensitive life safety concerns. It鈥檚 also an important resource for members of the campus community to learn more about the university鈥檚 three alert notification levels, how to sign up for text alerts and even how to receive alerts in languages other than English.
As a reminder, all CU 麻豆影院 students and employees with 麻豆影院 addresses have been added to Everbridge, the emergency alert messaging system used by 麻豆影院 Police, 麻豆影院 Fire-Rescue, 麻豆影院 County Sheriff鈥檚 Department and Longmont Department of Public Safety.
Being a Buff is important whether you鈥檙e on-campus or off. We鈥檙e here to help keep you safe, which includes making good choices. Respect your neighbors by registering parties, watching noise levels and avoiding illegal activities which pose a threat to public safety.
We invite you to share your suggestions or concerns. If your student group or organization would like to meet with us, don鈥檛 hesitate to reach out directly. Let鈥檚 join together for a great fall semester, and go Buffs!
