This week brings a DIY craft night, mental health trainings, video game and poker tournaments, a block party on the Hill and more.

Tuesday, Sept. 6

  2–4 p.m.   Norlin Library, east entrance 
Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) is here to support students. Stop by to learn about CAPS services and resources, explore how to best support yourself and your fellow Buffs and learn more about the new Bandana Project at CU—be sure to grab a lime green bandana to spread awareness of this mental health movement.

  10:30 a.m.–5 p.m.   Wardenburg Health Center, West Solarium
Prepare to help someone in crisis by attending a mental health training this week. Attendees will be taught risk factors, self-help strategies and more. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

  5–10 p.m.   UMC, The Connection
Are you a gamer? Show off your skills during video game tournaments! Sign-up starts at 4 p.m. at The Connection front desk. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

  6–8:30 p.m.   CASE, Chancellor’s Hall & Auditorium   Virtual
Natural disasters have an enormous impact on humans and the environment. CU experts address these impacts in this Colorado Conversations presentation. Viewers can join in person or virtually. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Friday, Sept. 9

Are you considering moving to the Hill? This Friday’s block party, sponosred by Student Affairs, will have free food from The Sink, live entertainment, crafts and more. Come mingle and explore the businesses on the Hill, and feel just how loved this neighborhood is by locals, students and a tourists alike.
