In order to have a successful fall semester, we all need to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes educating ourselves and working together to create a safe campus environment. To achieve this goal, our community is expected to follow health and safety guidelines.
The Student Code of Conduct has been updated with health and safety expectations and requirements for preventing the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. This update will help hold students accountable and is one of many tools to help keep our community safe.
Updates to the Student Code of Conduct
Effective June 25, 2020, the Student Code of Conduct (PDF)Ìýnow includes specific guidelines for campus health and safety policies.
As a student and a member of the CU Â鶹ӰԺ community, you are required to:
- Follow .
- Follow the CU Â鶹ӰԺ COVID-19 Health and Safety Policy.
- Follow university expectations for social and physical distancing while on campus, such as expectations posted in buildings.
- Wear a face covering over your nose and mouth.
- Follow guidelines for events and social gatherings.
Review the Student Code of Conduct for more information about expectations and requesting reasonable accommodations.
Addressing conduct violations
Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution will work with students who do not follow expectations. A separate process exists for faculty and staff who do not follow expectations.
Students who are found to be allegedly violating health and safety expectations will go through the Student Conduct process. The goal of this process will be to change behavior in order to maintain a safe campus environment. When there is an alleged violation, students will receive due process, as required by law.ÌýÌý
There will be several educational interventions for students found to be in violation of the Student Code of Conduct. In extreme cases, or if a student continues to not follow expectations, consequences could include probation and/or suspension from the university.
