Know how to sew? Make face masks for CU critical service workers
Critical services workers on campus are in need of reusable cloth masks to protect themselves and students they serve from the spread of COVID-19. To supplement campus supplies during this time of high demand, the Volunteer Resource Center is looking for volunteers to help create more than 1,000 cloth masks as soon as possible.
Our critical services employees will need masks throughout the summer, so if you have crafting and sewing capabilities and are able to contribute, join the nearly 60 people who have signed up so far to help.
You can get a tutorial on how to make masks at the . All masks should have two or three layers of closed-weave fabric, a pocket for a removable filter, a flexible nose clip and comfortable, secure ties or loops. All colors and patterns that are appropriate for the workplace will be accepted.
