Beginning Monday, March听2, CU 麻豆影院 faculty and staff will be invited to participate in CU 麻豆影院鈥檚 2020 Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey.
In 2017, the campus engaged in a comprehensive Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey. The survey was the first of its kind for the 麻豆影院 campus and illuminated many areas of strength as well as areas for growth.听
鈥淭he 2017 survey was a key moment in examining CU 麻豆影院 as a workplace and an employer. I am grateful that our assessment and opportunities for improvement will continue with my successor,鈥 said Kelly Fox, Executive Vice Chancellor and COO. 鈥淭he feedback we received helped shape our communications and employee support, and we have built a strong foundation together.鈥
Some of the key insights from the 2017 survey include:
-
The need to enhance executive communication about key campus priorities.
Result: Implementation of consistent communications from the Provost and the Chief Operating Officer about campus initiatives and priorities as well as creating more video communications from the Chancellor.
-
The importance of providing career growth opportunities and recognition for a job well done.
Result: Human Resources implemented career and professional development programs, enabling employees to grow in their current roles and develop the skills to seek promotional opportunities. In addition, campus leadership has made a concerted effort to celebrate the successes of individuals and groups.
These insights鈥攁nd many more鈥攑rovided action items for the campus to address while also highlighting areas of strength.听
Similar to the 2017 survey, the 2020 survey will measure concepts such as trust, collaboration, commitment and empowerment.听
鈥淲e are excited by the possibilities the next survey may present and look forward to responding to the data as we continue to improve the faculty and staff experience and the overall success of our campus,鈥 said Provost Russ Moore.
鈥淐ontinually engaging faculty and staff in improving their work experience at CU 麻豆影院 and removing barriers to trust and partnership remain key priorities for campus leadership,鈥 said Moore. 鈥淲e encourage everyone to take the 2020 survey, and we look forward to acting on its results.鈥
The Department of Human Resources, in collaboration with Arthur J. Gallaher, an independent engagement firm, will facilitate the second implementation of the survey. To view the 2017 results, visit the Faculty and Staff Engagement Survey website.
