As you settle in at CU 麻豆影院, you may notice some things around campus鈥攃halk messages on the sidewalks, event posters covering bulletin boards and many people talking about 鈥済etting involved.鈥 There are many ways to get involved, but what does this mean for you?

Getting involved can help you meet new friends, discover interests and hobbies, and even explore different career paths. Here are 10听ways to get involved at CU.

Student organizations

CU 麻豆影院 has more than听500 student organizations. Service opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to get involved, both on campus and in the 麻豆影院 area. Not only can you meet new people and make a positive difference in your community, but there are also plenty of opportunities to fit your schedule. Between group classes, intramural and club sports, the Outdoor Program, inclusive events and more, there are many options to get involved at CU Student Recreation Center.

Join The Herd

The Herd is the student arm of CU 麻豆影院鈥檚 Alumni Association. It鈥檚 the perfect group to make friends, gain valuable leadership experience and celebrate all that it means to be a Buff. Herd members enjoy many benefits; learn more here.

Leadership development

Leadership experience is always something that looks great on a r茅sum茅! CU GOLD provides free leadership development opportunities to all students. Students can register for the Core Leadership Program, which consists of weekly seminars on a variety of leadership topics.听You can also apply to become a Journey Leader听and help welcome new students and families to CU in the fall.

Research opportunities

The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program provides hands-on experience in a research or creative project. There are also opportunities to connect with faculty mentors.

Find community at the Center for Inclusion & Social Change

Participate in community building programs, educational workshops and inclusive events at the Center for Inclusion & Social Change. The center provides support for all students across multiple identities, including those who identify as ethnically and culturally diverse, trans and queer, women and femme, and first-generation college students.
