Learn empowering and effective verbal and physical skills designed to increase your safety and confidence in a wide range of real-life scenarios, including assault and sexual violence involving intimate partners, dates, acquaintances and strangers.听

This class involves interactive discussion and hands-on practice, so participants can increase their awareness of potential threats, enhance strong verbal and physical boundaries and implement techniques for managing fear and stress. Physical skills will include basic but highly effective techniques for defense in all situations.听

This class is intended for those who identify as women听and is open to students, faculty and staff. Rec Center membership (day pass, punch card or monthly membership)听is required.
