The CU 麻豆影院 Police Department听will be conducting the spring semester听听test just before noon on Wednesday, April 10. The test is required by a federal law听known as听the 听and will test our ability to send text messages, emails, social media posts, computer desktop alerts and website announcements during an emergency.

Before the test, all students, faculty and staff should check their account to make sure their information is up to date. See below for instructions.

Active CU 麻豆影院 student email addresses (@colorado.edu) are automatically registered to receive emails through the CU 麻豆影院 Alerts system, and the university encourages students to add mobile phone numbers in order to receive text notifications, as well.

Faculty, staff or affiliates of the CU 麻豆影院 community with an @colorado.edu (or cufund.org or cu.edu) email address are also added automatically. Faculty and staff who have phone numbers listed in the 鈥淐ellular鈥 and 鈥淐ellular 2鈥 fields in your my.cu.edu account will receive text notifications, as well.

Employees who work on campus (such as construction or dining contractors) who are not students, faculty or staff and do not have one of the email听domains listed above can work with the CU 麻豆影院 Alert administrator to ensure they are in the alert database. During an emergency that affects the campus, critical updates, additional details and any necessary instructions regarding the nature of the emergency will be posted on听, campus social media sites and the campus Emergency Information Line at 303-492-4636 (303-492-INFO).

After Wednesday鈥檚 test, any user who expected to receive an alert and didn鈥檛, or who needs help signing up for the system, should call the IT Service Center at 303-735-HELP or email听help@colorado.edu.
