Rana LaouarThis year鈥檚 CU system Diversity and Inclusion Summit revolves around the idea of not only beginning conversations with good intent听but finishing them with the right impact. The summit is a two-day event packed with an assortment of conversations, all with the intent to provide insight into a wide range of topics鈥攆rom slavery, conservative voice, race, religion, self care and more鈥攖o create a lasting impact on the ways we choose to carry ourselves through life.

The event begins Tuesday, Nov. 13,听with a keynote听by Beverly Tatum, author of the book Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?听and sought-after speaker on the topic of race, and ends Wednesday night with a free screening of the film Hidden Figures.

With attendance from all four CU campuses, the goal is to come together in collegiality and humanity and to embrace the different backgrounds and lived experiences, all to promote our values and improve inclusive interactions.
