Intent vs. Impact: Improving Inclusive InteractionsÌýwill open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13,Ìýin theÌýUniversity Memorial Center'sÌýGlenn Miller Ballroom with remarks byÌýAlphonse Keasley, associate vice chancellor in the Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement, CU President Bruce Benson, Â鶹ӰԺ City Manager Jane Brautigam and Chancellor Philip DiStefano. Featured will be speakerÌýBeverly Daniel Tatum, the author of Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting Together in the Cafeteria?
Events will continue in the UMC (in various locations) through Nov. 14 in what are sure to be engaging and powerful discussions at the CU system Diversity and Inclusion Summit.Ìý

There will also be open town halls, allowing campus members to give feedback on the campus diversity plan, from 2 to 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, and from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14. To cap off the summit, CUSG will host a free screening of Hidden Figures in the CASE Auditorium from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
