Horror writer and CU 麻豆影院 English Professor听Stephen Graham Jones听can break down why we like to be scared and discuss the mythology of zombies, werewolves, haunted houses and more.
Jones, who has written many horror books, delivered a public talk on zombies earlier this month. He traces the satisfying rush that comes with fear to the early days of humanity, saying we are still hardwired to expect the threat of a predator or attack.听
鈥淚t gives us the sense that we鈥檙e not safe. And though that feels unsettling in one sense in another sense it makes us feel more human.鈥
