TombstonesThis month marks the 50th anniversary of the debut of the classic zombie horror movie Night of the Living Dead.听Horror expert and English Professor听Stephen Graham Jones听can define the modern zombie and discuss the legacy of the film, which helped give rise to a genre that now includes mainstream hits such as The Walking Dead.

Jones鈥攁uthor of many zombie-themed books, including Zombie Bake-Off, Zombie Sharks with Metal Teeth and The Gospel of Z鈥攚ill discuss the mythology of zombies in an Oct. 11听. He's also willing to break down zombie theory and why zombies wants "braaains"听for reporters.

鈥淲丑补迟 Night of the Living Dead gave the zombie was flesh-eating, contagiousness, infectiousness and a decomposed form鈥攚hich are four things the zombie didn鈥檛 have,鈥 he said.
