Emergency alerts on campus

New this year is the听, which uses Wi-Fi to send campus听emergency alerts when cell service is unavailable. This is a great solution for people who work in basements, areas with poor cellular signal, or have a Wi-Fi based phone.

If an emergency involves a threat to personal safety or a campus closure, a campus alert will be sent using one or all of the communication methods available. For urgent emergencies, text messaging is the preferred method of the system since it reaches the most individuals in the least amount of time.

During an emergency that affects the campus, critical updates, additional details听and any necessary instructions regarding the nature of the emergency will be posted at听, university social media sites and on the campus Emergency Information Line at 303-492-4636 (303-492-INFO).

After the test

After the scheduled test, if you feel you should have received an alert and didn鈥檛, or if you need help signing up for the system, email the听听补迟听help@colorado.edu.
