Employees who focus on their strengths to achieve well-being are better engaged with co-workers听and are more likely to be committed to and proud of the institution. Engaged and healthy students are more likely to remain at CU 麻豆影院, graduate in a timely fashion听and stay connected with the university as active alumni.听

to provide campus听community members with the knowledge, skills听and experiences to foster strengths-based conversations leading to increased well-being and belonging across campus.

"Knowing my strengths will influence my performance in college by giving me insight to which areas I will be most effective in during group projects and presentations," a CU 麻豆影院 student shared.听"I will be able to focus on what I am good at, and leave the areas that I am not as strong in to my teammates."

Strengths Introduction

Tuesday, Sept. 12, 9 to 11 a.m.听
Monday, Oct. 16, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 10, 9 to 11 a.m.

This interactive session teaches听CliftonStrengths theory and builds knowledge of strengths to motivate the CU 麻豆影院 community to maximize their talents. Upon attending this session, learners will develop a preliminary understanding of theory, recognize how personal strengths manifest in daily life and understand how CU 麻豆影院 integrates strengths into the campus community.

The intro听session is a pre-requisite听for the advanced听workshops below.

Strengths in Supervision

Tuesday, Sept. 12, noon to 2:30 p.m.

Through active participation, learners will be able to explain how their strengths influence their supervision, understand principles of strengths-based management and engagement, build knowledge of strengths-based questions听and identify at least one new strategy to apply in their supervision responsibilities.

Strengths in 1:1 Conversations

Monday, Oct. 16, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Apply CliftonStrengths theory and expand familiarity with other strengths to improve individual conversations and relationships. During this session, learners will cultivate an increased appreciation and understanding of strengths outside of their top five and will utilize tools to assist in leading strengths-based conversations.

Strengths Facilitation in Groups

Friday, Nov. 10, noon to 4 p.m.

Once you have developed knowledge and had experience with CliftonStrengths, attend this session to advance your knowledge of听theory and activities to use for facilitating strengths in the groups you work closely with.

Upon completing this session, you will have knowledge of facilitation principles and constructing "ORID" debrief questions, practice facilitating CliftonStrengths activities听and identify an action plan for your own development and practice. After completing this workshop, you are eligible to earn the CU 麻豆影院 Strengths Facilitation Certificate.听
