Last year, the University of Colorado听听hosted听a听memorial 5K race in honor of one of the university's most distinguished fallen alumni, F-16 pilot Captain William H. "Pyro" Dubois Jr.

Dubois died in action on December 1, 2014, when his听wingman鈥檚 F-16 developed mechanical issues.听True to his character and leadership, he was escorting his wingman safely back to base when his own jet went down.听He was 30 years old.

Now a听second race honoring the fallen hero听is set for April 23.听The course takes runners across the beautiful CU 麻豆影院 campus.

All proceeds from the event go directly toward the fund, which helps current Detachment 105 cadets gain valuable flight experience to boost their chances of earning their own Air Force pilot slot and carrying on DuBois' legacy.
