Fall Color Tree Walk.ÌýThe Fall Color Tree Walk, hosted by Facilities Management and the CU Museum of Natural History, takes participants on a tour around campus where theyÌýwill see the colorful foliage and learn the distinctive characteristics and historical significance of different trees on CU's main campus. TheÌýtour is free, open to the public, and startsÌýat 5 p.m.Ìýat the south entrance of the CU Museum of Natural History at 15th and Broadway. Reservations are not required.

An Evening with George Takei.ÌýThe incredibly well spoken, funnyÌýand popular actor and activist George Takei (the original Mr. Sulu) will be speakingÌýat Macky Auditorium starting at 7:30 p.m. Come to be entertained and educated, and ask questions at the end. Tickets are $2 for CU students, and get them quick because this will almost surely sell out!

Original GhostbustersÌý²õ³¦°ù±ð±ð²Ô¾±²Ô²µ.ÌýProgram Council presents a showing of the original 1984 Ghostbusters movie with Bill Murray, Dan AykroydÌýand Harold Ramis for freeÌýin Chem 140 at 8 p.m. Wear your costume for brownie points and get free popcorn. Even if you plan to see the new Ghostbusters, nothing beats the classic!
The Penguin Book of the Undead discussion and signing.ÌýCU Professor Scott Bruce will be at the Â鶹ӰԺ Book StoreÌýat 7:30 p.m. to discuss his new book, The Penguin Book of the Undead, which explores the human relationship with the undead through ancient religion, folkloreÌýand mythology. Bruce will discuss ghosts and demons, and finish with a book signing. The price of attendance is $5.
Filmmaker andÌýphotographer Daniel Traub toÌýspeak.ÌýThe Conference on World Affairs welcomes Daniel Traub, the mastermind behind the book of photography titled Little North Road: Africa in China. Swing by Old Main at 6:30 p.m.Ìýto discuss and learn more about this project and to meet the filmmaker and photographer. The event is free and open to all!
Pinterest and Popcorn.ÌýSwing by UMC 330Ìýbetween noon and 5 p.m. if you need a break! The Center for Student Involvement hosts "Pinterest and Popcorn," free afternoons where you can get a snack and make a craft and generally throwback to simpler childhood times. This week you’ll be making greeting cards, so grab a friend and come relax for awhile!

Halloween Masquerade Ball.ÌýOne of the most popular on-campus Halloween parties, the Masquerade Ball hosted by the CU tango club is back again this year. There will be free Argentine tango lessons (for all levels) starting 7 p.m. and a big ol’ dance party from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Glenn Miller Ballroom. You must wear a costume, and the event is free (including food) and open to everyone.

Pearl Street Mall Crawl.ÌýThe Mall Crawl has been a Halloween tradition for a very long time. This is when half of Â鶹ӰԺ comes together on the Pearl street to see and be seen in their costumes, as well as to catch the annual Thriller Flash Mob (which we take very seriously, by the way) at 8:30 p.m. in front of the Courthouse. This unofficial but huge gathering rolls through most of the night, so be sure to swing by.
Above and Beyond: Cosmic Conversations Innovative NASA Missions.ÌýFiske Planetarium welcomes speaker Jessica RobertsÌýat 9 p.m. where she will discuss some of the amazing recent accomplishments of NASA as well as look to the future of space missions and discovery. Roberts is one of our own here at CU: a grad student researching the atmosphere of Jupiter. Admission is free for students with a valid Buff OneCard.
