A view of the 2016 State of the Campus audience

CU 鶹ӰԺChancellorPhilDiStefano addressed a full housethismorningin the Glenn Miller Ballroomfor his annual "State of the Campus" address. Members of the CU community, along with those watching the Livestream broadcast, heard an update on the campus' progress on his three strategic priority areas, and how these priorities are connected to the Flagship 2030 goals.

A central theme of the address was an overview of campus efforts aligned to the strategic priority areas of student success, revenue diversification and campus reputation, and how these map to the Flagship 2030 goals. Progress on a wide variety of initiatives – from inclusive excellence, to new professional masters programs, to our community's widespread outreach efforts – was highlighted and celebrated.

The presentation ended with a Q&A session moderated by Associate Vice ChancellorAlphonseKeasley, who shared questions submitted previously by email as well questions solicited from those in attendance at the event. The campus incidents of Oct. 5 were top-of-mind for many questioners, and the Chancellor addressed the communications and decision-making on the day. Other questions addressed diversity and inclusivity challenges for our campus, and the challenges inherent in large campus system upgrades.
