Thirteen students from the 麻豆影院鈥檚 advertising program have won seven awards in a major international advertising contest, the most collected this year by any four-year university.

The students, who worked in teams to create advertising and branding campaigns for companies in response to fictitious scenarios, won a silver, a bronze and five merit awards. Their ad campaign entries range from a Lego fund to teach children about wildlife extinction to a LinkedIn platform designed to allow workplaces to address positive change around inequality.

of New York, an esteemed industry trade group, will present the awards at the Young Ones Awards Ceremony tonight in New York City as part of Creative Week, a premier showcase of creativity in advertising, design and new media.

鈥淭hese students spend months coming up with strategies and executing campaigns based on the One Show鈥檚 criteria,鈥 said Barrett Brynestad, the students鈥 instructor and a graduate of the CU-麻豆影院 advertising program. 鈥淐ountless hours and many sleepless nights result in the well-earned reward of recognition. This show is great preparation for the next step in participants鈥 advertising careers.鈥

CU-麻豆影院 students Noah Adelman, Olivia Conroy, Graeme Cunningham and Peyton Hopkins won a silver award for their and several merit awards. Max Jaffee, Sydney Sharek and Krista Stonedahl won a bronze award for their . Ben Rindels, Alexa Thomas, Alayna Zidek, Leala King, Mia Cupidro and Megan Curry all won merits awards.

This isn鈥檛 the first time CU-麻豆影院 students have performed well at the Young Ones competition. In fact, CU-麻豆影院 students have taken home Young Ones awards every year since 2001.

鈥淚 believe our students鈥 success is due to two things: the commitment our students have to the creative process and the commitment of our industry partners,鈥 said Mindy Cheval, an associate chair of advertising, public relations and media design at CU-麻豆影院. 鈥淥ur creative program is managed and taught by adjunct professors who come to CU-麻豆影院 after their day at work to give back to our students. The level of expertise they offer brings talented students from across the country and the world to CU-麻豆影院 to study advertising.鈥

CU-麻豆影院鈥檚 advertising program is part of the , which prepares students to be leaders in an ever-changing information society.
